How not to lay out a latrine, or position a pedestal in our look at some toilet design fails
We at Bespoke Bathroom Solutions pride ourselves on excellent work every time. All projects are done to time and on budget. They also make the best use of existing space and meet your requirements every time. In most cases they exceed your expectations, from toilet to heated towel rail.
In this post, we look at how not to lay out a lavatory. In other words, some of the elementary errors in toilet design. For example:
Toilets that are positioned too close together;
Lavatories lacking in privacy;
A urinal with its own door;
A loo with a washing machine above the cistern;
Two toilets positioned for conversational purposes;
A conference room inside a lavatory.
Each of these poorly positioned toilets have been the subject of a Reddit post, shared on the
Daily Mail Online website. If you thought the article wasn’t enough, here’s a YouTube clip featuring some hilarious toilet design fails. Fifty of them. Some of which have appeared on the Daily Mail Online article but it’s a good laugh nonetheless.
You can be sure that none of these are in our name. Thank goodness for that.
Our home went through a bathroom transformation recently and what was an awkward space is now a functional and stylish place to enjoy. Everything is of the highest quality from the design to the installation and the workmanship mirrored that. (A special mention for Ian here) Disruption to home life was minimised and for part of time we went away, confident that everything was in safe hands. Reassurance was offered when doubts arose and small changes to the original design were easily accommodated. Would we use this firm again? Yes.
